Live Summit low altitude event not working

As most people are, I am trying to do all of the events. However, whenever I try to do the low altitude event, nothing happens when I go through the pink circle. Anybody know how they could help?

Summit reward cars.

I know this may sound unfair maybe stupid.

But i wish we can purchase the Summit rewards car for people who have missed their chance like in the Crew 1 where once they put up new cars as the summit reward and for people who missed it just simply have to purchase it without much regret. Well i won't say the game is dying but it is getting kinda boring...

I don't know if it's just me but I think it's kinda unfair in like the speed traps people can do it together and get a way higher speed than those that don't have any friends that they can play with or just not be able to play with anyone because they didn't buy ps plus or Xbox gold, and maybe make it only able for one person to do the speed traps and not have a friend helping.

My question: is it even worth to do the races on higher difficulty? Does it reward you something for doing them except for extra creds and parts?
