Some Hobbies requirements are simply too much for a 2 year old game

    Posted: 28 May 2020 03:29 PM PDT

I'll start off by saying that some challenges are a lot of fun and quite easy. But other challenges require so many completions that it feels like this feature was cut from launch. Winning 50 streat races with a nissan or mitsubishi for 3 stars (idk how many for 4, but im assuming it's over 80) is a ridiculously high. I feel like these should at least be retroactive. It's not challenging to go do 80 more of the same events i've been doing for the past 2 years for 1 car, it's just extremely tedious.

Traffic and weather are really in need of a rework.

    Posted: 28 May 2020 04:41 PM PDT

It seems that most of the time the roads are always wet, it's raining or snowing. What's up with that? Today had to restart the game after having snow for over 30min and couldn't get rid of it in any way, restarted and no more snow, just rain. It's a shame that we have so much bad weather especially in areas where the weather is way better irl. Weather used to be better.

Since the previous update i have this traffic issue where it spawns crazy amounts of traffic, there's literally cars on every corner, even in remote locations. Now there's these travel challenges and it's just a straight up nightmare. It also doesn't help that traffic glitches out completely when driving fast, shows cars in the distance that aren't there but spawns other ones out of nowhere or half in the ground. Constant spawns of groups of traffic on the highway in packs of 20-30. Traffic is really hard to see sometimes because of the colors and there's so many trucks and buses. Used to cruise around a lot in this game but that's done for now, it's just not fun like this.

Its U$ 14 a good deal for this game?

    Posted: 28 May 2020 01:11 PM PDT

Hey guys, I've been kinda interested in the crew since I played the beta but early reviews made me lose interest in the game a while ago, I recently buyed nfs heat and kinda enjoyed it until I finished it and got nothing else to do in that game, I was wondering if you'd recommend buying the crew 2 to play alone or/and with friends it's it worth it now that it's heavily discounted? If yes what edition would you recommend deluxe, standard or gold?

I know the game can be a little grindy but as summer vacations approach it really doesn't matter, how's the pvp and what do you guys know about the roadmap for future updates? Any advice you can give me will be highly appreciated.

TL;DR: should I get it if yes why and if not also why?

    Thanks in advance

    Guide to upgrading cars?

    Posted: 28 May 2020 04:51 PM PDT

I'm not sure if I'm just being stupid but is the upgrading system slightly complicated?

Not even an in-game guide or nothing, been googling questions and seeing stuff like affixes whatever that is and I still don't know what is going on.

Is there a guide here on this subreddit?

Should I save the upgrade parts for when I get better car or should I just max out my starter Mustang?

    Cheers.

Game is great though, love cruising around with spotify on in the background.

Ideas for crews future or the next crew game if there will be one

    Posted: 28 May 2020 08:26 PM PDT

I love the customization but I would like chassis mounted wings on a lot more cars primarily street cars and the ability to change suspension

Also maybe to customize the engine, exhaust and interior (seats steering wheel E.T.C.) I think that the ability to change the engine may or may not be with parts they could just be separate ex. Change intercoolers and engine heads or something like that part of that could be instead of a garage it could be more of a shop to customize stuff. for a big change I think that getting out of your car would be awesome and special car meet setups could be in major cities (like they have but way better with different cars) but yea those are my ideas

Also if Ubisoft will make another will make another crew they could call it the crew Ultimate

Crew 1 fan considering Crew 2, how much of this old review is still true?

    Posted: 28 May 2020 10:52 AM PDT

This review here mentions things that would be some serious red flags for me, in particular:

But what am I talking about? Radar stations. Collectible secret car parts. The hundreds of skill challenges that you could find between almost every two crossroads. The mini achievements system broken down to dozens of categories for a little reward...

This is how it could happen that I can drive from Miami to Los Angeles across a 100+ kilometers (100 is in flight) and not come across a single thing to do. Speed traps, stay on the road challenges, slalom, something I had the choice to do or ignore on the way gave a gameplay reason to explore. Radar stations gave me a gameplay reason to explore as finding them was essential to revealing parts of the map.

This exactly describes why I loved the original so much, driving around exploring, doing a quick jump or slalom event, then going exploring again, finding a landmark describing a natural wonder or a part of a city, etc.

Is it still true that this is all gone? Is the game just picking races from the map over and over like a menu now?

    That's a great menu
