    My thoughts and opinions in the crew 2 (worth it in 2020?) part 1

    So I pretty much finish the game by collected all the cars the game has offer,got rich,reached icon 6658. I pretty much got it all so today i'm gonna spread all my experience of this game if it's worth it right now.I'm gonna separate all of this to 4 sections

    1st section:pros

    2nd section:cons

    3rd section:conclusion

    4th section: the motorpass

    sure you can skip it but if you want detail to detail I recommend it to not skip all section

    Pros:

    Large world: You have already heard this game is huge because it represents the whole america but there are some missing states but that does not bother me because it takes like 30 minutes to go to another state. You can explore the rich world that ivory tower has to offer. I enjoy my ride with my friends and visit state to state. You can pretty much enjoy riding with friends so you can have fun and feel the open road.

    Fun pvp: The game provides you to play with random players to online racing. To be honest it was quite fun and enjoyable. It also protects you from other players who try to ruin your race with friends by activating ghost mode. Sure it pretty much ruins the realisticness of the game but I would rather have that rather being boinked by someone who think street racing/hypercar racing is a demolition derby. Speaking of demolition derby this game provides demolition derby where you can crush all cars as much as you please this is also a pretty fun game and also perfect if you have friends who only knows the definition smash.

    Decent customization: This game has a pretty much a decent customization but comparing it to nfs franchise then nfs won with ease.but if you compete it to fh4 this game has won an award. It has SOME of the car guys choices by either ricing it,put anime stickers,recreate iconic car designs. Like in nfs you can pick the community wraps but you cannot make changes but atleast you can choose the wrap you want without making any effort.

    SO MANY CARS: You heard it right you can buy many cars especially the fact that ivory tower brings new cars every free update. Even though it does not have many cars as fh4.

    Players of TC2, try The Crew 1

    With the last update, I recently downloaded TC1 again..With almost 3 years full of TC2, going back to the first game shows how much changed.. and how much was lost (as well as how much we won in TC2, let's be honest).

    TC1 still got :

    • - Overall better visuals even if TC1 is way too dark / rainy
    • - World activity : airports, trafic diversity, secret planes at night etc.
    • - Consistent handling (there's "post-input delay" keeping your car in a turn after you stopped turning)
    • - Clear distinction between handlings : offroad / dirt road / street / on snowy streets
    • - Map identity : clear distinction between cities / zones- Overall better and diversified textures, especially the roads (I'm talking visually, the resolution in TC2 might be higher or the same but it lacks that quality)
    • - Visually more destruction on vehicles
    • - Smoother map (not much "gta san andreas curves and jumps" as TC2)
    • - Better lod (with a lot of clipping, but still, the lod textures, even if it may be lower than TC2, hides better)
    • - PVP (really, TC2 pvp is a joke)
    • - Route creator (basic, but still better than nothing)
    • - Photomode going through the vehicles
    • - Freeroam activities (yes, basic stuff, but TC2 don't have all of them and lacks Freeroam Challenges)
    • - Night (even if it's really dark, TC2 "night" isn't a night)
    • - Weather (except for the rain, there's way too much rain in TC1)
    • - No snow everywhere every 20 minutes
    • - No birdshit (snow) on the windshield

    Now TC2 got a lot of stuff better :

    • - Menus (really, TC1 phone was a neat feature but the ergonomy..)
    • - Vehicles diversity (the main feature of TC2, and they got it right tbh)
    • - Vehicles sounds (so so much better in TC2)
    • - Vehicles quality (poly count, PBR (I guess ?) textures etc.
    • - Content diversity and addition (even if that last update is.. discutable)
    • - Vehicles customisation and upgradability
    • - Vehicles distinction (imo we should even have a Street, Performance and then Hypercar, not just Street and Hypercar, the pool of unused vehicles is way too high)

    We won the possibility to fly high in the sky, through the clouds, or in the water, but we lost a lot of stuff that built the "The Crew" series identity in the process, and I think the direction should look back to the amazing game they made and keep / improve on that.

    I'm not sure if it's just me but I haven't been able to find any comprehensive reviews of the latest free DLC, "The Chase"

    From the trailers it seemed like we'd get a cool new discipline that really resembled the PS2 classic "Stuntman". It turns out all we got was a worse version of a Burnout Road Rage event.

    I for one am not a fan. It's just an old idea with almost no originality. Sure the interceptors are cool but now with a seasonal roadmap and the dismissal of daily objectives to earn CC it doesn't seem worth the effort anymore.

    What are everyone's thoughts? I'd like to know the overall opinion of the community because quite frankly I'm very disappointed but I'm willing to swallow my words and shut up if everyone really loves it.

    Solo vs crew in the new Chase events

    The new events are much faster to complete as a crew than as solo. This gives solo players another huge disadvantage in the Summit. There are 20 - 30 second completion times in the Summit leaderboards for these events which seems impossible to do solo.

    Next week there's an exclusive Interception Unit car as a Plat reward and it's going to be impossible for solo players to compete with the scores people get as a crew since there's 3 Chase events in the Summit.

    A side note: If you look at the leaderboards for the Chase events there are very few duplicate times in them, meaning that people are getting a different completion time even though they're completing the event as a crew. There's a lot of evidence suggesting that the performance of your game affects how well you can do in events. Maybe this is another one.

    Unless there's some way to complete these in 20 - 30 seconds solo that I'm not aware of. Seems impossible.

    Basically since this new update it has started turning all my events without racers in to a harder difficulty, for example the air races are put in hard when I want easy. Normally this wouldn't matter but I am not upgraded enough to win an air race on hard
