    PS4 performance issues

    Can we get an update on this from Ivory Tower? This has been going on since the Inner Drive update, for over 8 months. It feels like the performance gets worse and worse with every update on the base PS4. The frame rate is abysmal at times.

    The worst part is that it seems that the performance issues affect how well you can do in events. This is most evident in Escape skills where sometimes your game freezes for a few seconds and you lose instantly because the zone keeps moving even though you're frozen in place.

    I noticed that the frame rate is exceptionally bad the Interceptor race events in this week's Summit, especially the Motor Trend one. Sadly I don't have a PS5 yet so I can't compare it to the base PS4. Nor do I have this game on PC so that I could compare different frame rates. I did try to compare some youtube videos to see if there's any difference. The start is where the race lags the worst for me. Here's where different players were at the 3 second mark:

    Both PC players are about the same, further than the PS4 player. I also tried it several times and on my fastest attempts I was slightly ahead of the PS4 player in the video but couldn't reach where the PC players are. Took me 3.7 seconds to get there.

    I know this is not great proof but I can't do a proper comparison until I have a PS5. But you can try it yourself on the base PS4 and see how far you can reach in 3 seconds. Or if someone wants to do some comparisons of base PS4 vs PS5. Or PC at stable 30/60 fps vs sub-30 fps, that'd be great.

    Has anyone noticed that the easy events have suddenly become impossible when I've already beaten them multiple times? Ex: Marina Del Rey Air Race. Anyone have any clue on what's happening?

    I have been looking into this game recently (ik a little late to the party) and been loving it because tbh I am at that stage of life where after a stressful day I just wanna virtually get in a nice expensive irl car and cruise around in a big map and basically just chill. This is the first game which came into my mind for that. (Not forza because I have ps). So I know that that supercar cruising won't be available for me right at the start of this game. But reading all the reddit posts and people's complaints about grinding, game recently turning into p2w and etc. Should I buy this game for above mentioned purposes or not. Ps I can do grinding but not extreme insane ones. Thanks for all replies in advance
